Consistent Caribbean experience

This was my third time with Costa, and my second croisière Caraïbes. I usually book a cabine vue mer, and it's always been clean and comfortable. This time I added the forfait wifi à bord, which worked better than my previous cruise, so that was an improvement. The dining options felt familiar and reliable, which I appreciate. I keep coming back because their process is so consistent, from booking to disembarkation. Good for family trips.

Good Mediterranean cruise

Booked a croisière Méditerranée. Cabine avec balcon was great. Service was quick. Enjoyed the trip. No complaints.

Europe cruise was fine

I took a croisière Europe du Nord, opting for a cabine intérieure to save some money. The booking was easy online, and the confirmation came through quickly. On the ship, the service was generally good, and the staff were polite. The food in the main dining rooms was decent, though sometimes a bit repetitive. My main issue was the embarkation process; it took longer than I expected in port, which cut into our first day a bit. The ship itself was well-maintained, and the destinations were lovely. I'd consider them again, but maybe not during peak season to avoid crowds at embarkation.

Dubaï cruise, pretty good

I recently went on a croisière Dubaï et Émirats with Costa. The booking process for the cabine avec balcon was straightforward on their website. I chose the vol plus croisière option, and the transfers from the airport to the port were well-organized and on time, which always helps. On board, I tried the forfait boissons My Drinks Plus, and it was convenient, not having to worry about drink prices. The ship itself was clean, and my cabin was comfortable. The excursions My Explorations I booked were interesting, but some felt a bit rushed. Customer support, when I called about a question before the trip, was helpful and answered my questions quickly. I found the overall value for money to be good, especially for a week-long trip. It lived up to expectations.

Nice trip to the fjords

I booked a croisière fjords norvégiens last spring, and it was pretty cool. The cabine vue mer was definitely worth it, got to see some amazing views right from the room. Booking online was easy enough, no real hitches. The food on board was good, not super fancy but always something tasty. Overall, a really solid vacation, I'd do it again.

Heard about 'Costa Club' members getting discounts. How much of a discount are we talking, and is it hard to join?

J James Anderson 2 weeks ago
It's not hard to join, you just register after your first cruise I think. The discounts vary, but I've gotten stuff like onboard credit or specific cabin upgrades.

The discounts depend on your club level, but yeah, it's worth it if you plan on cruising with them more than once. They often have exclusive offers.

Thinking of booking a solo cruise, but sometimes they charge you double for cabins. Does Costa offer any 'solo no supplement' deals?

D Daniel Torres 5 days ago
I've seen those solo deals pop up sometimes, especially on specific itineraries or off-peak. Keep an eye out for flash sales too.

Yeah, they do have solo offers, but they're not always available for every cruise. You might have to be flexible with your dates to find one.

Does Costa Croisieres still do those Black Friday sales? Trying to save some money for a fjords cruise.

O Olivia J. 5 days ago
Pretty sure they do! I remember seeing some good deals around Black Friday last year for cruises in Europe.

They usually have 'flash sales' too which are similar to Black Friday. Keep an eye on their site around that time.

Has anyone ever tried to cancel a Costa cruise? Was it a nightmare or pretty straightforward to get a refund or change dates?

E Emma 3 weeks ago
I changed my dates last year, it was surprisingly smooth online. Had to pay a small fee though.

Returns were easy for me. Just follow their process on the site. I think it depends on how close to departure you are for full refund vs credit.

Is Costa good for kids? I'm planning a family trip with two little ones and wondering if they'll be bored or if there's actually stuff for them to do.

W William Hill 1 month ago
Oh yeah, they have the Squok Club which is like a kids' club. My nephew loved it on our last cruise, kept him busy for hours.

They're pretty family-friendly. I've seen a lot of kids activities and pools geared towards them. Definitely better than some other lines.
